2011-2012 Academic Year CARDIOMYOPATHY FELLOWSHIP Goals • To provide the necessary skills for the fellow to become an expert in the field of inherited cardiomyopathies, which includes understanding the pathophysiology and genetics of these conditions as well as understanding the role imaging and hemodynamics plays in diagnosis and management. • To provide the necessary skills for the fellow to become a clinical investigator to study these conditions further. Participation) in any relevant invasive procedures such as alcohol septal ablations, myomectomies •Research •Participation in research protocols/project •Investigative Medicine Courses •Introduction to Biostatistics in Clinical Investigation (dates for this course for this past year were July 12-23 M-F 8:30-11:15) •Principles of Clinical Research (dates last year were July 26-August 6 MF 2-4)
