Better: Many of these challenges can be traced back to French colonization and their policies. Best: The recent occurrences of genocide and the abhorrent human rights in Rwanda is a direct, negative, result of imperialism. SUPPORT: Basic: Inequality in South Africa can be traced back to imperialism with the creation of apartheid and the colonization. Better: Racial inequality has been present in Africa since the British colonized the country. Best: Poverty is far from being the Congo’s only problem, though: it is also experiencing internal conflict and violence over its mines.
