at Oak Grove Elementary School

Alvin is
supported
by school
wide PBS
systems.

informs
grade level
team that
Alvin has
more than
2 referrals.
School-wide
SWIS data is
reviewed
monthly by
PBS team to
select
students
with 2 or
more
referrals.

teams can also
identify top 20%
of students at
risk for problem
behavior using
Dragon Ticket

teacher
observation
Start Tier II
Alvin takes
part in Tier II
intervention
(e.g. CheckIn CheckOut) for 4-6
weeks.
Classroom
teacher
documents
intervention
and progress.
(What did you
do, how often,
what were the
results?).
Grade level team
determines if
Alvin is
responding to
Tier II
intervention. If
not, grade level
team places
Alvin in another
(2nd) Tier II
intervention or
intensifies
intervention
already in place.

analyzes Alvin’s
data. Alvin is not
responding to the
2nd Tier II
intervention. If
Grade level team is
considering Tier
III, Grade Level
Liason facilitates a
Guess and Check
process with grade
level team.
Alvin receives at
least 4-6 weeks
of 2nd Tier II
intervention;
interventions
documented and
data is collected.
This is in addition to
the 1st Tier II
intervention or first
intervention has
been notably
intensified.
Building RTI
team meets with
grade level team.
An individual
Behavior
intervention is
designed for
Alvin. Building
team will use the
data from the
Guess and
Check to design
Tier III
intervention.
Grade level
contacts Building
RTI to schedule
meeting to discuss
student with the
building team. If
not already
involved, parents
are invited to
participate in the
process, starting
with the scheduled
meeting.
Tier III support can be
in addition to the Tier II
intervention but must
been notably
individualized and
intensified.
Alvin takes part in
his individualized
interventions
(which can include
parts of his Tier II
support)
Data is collected.

Manager is
assigned.
(This is not
the Learning
Specialist.)
Building RTI

and decides
Alvin is
resistant to
intervention
and may have
a disability.
Alvin is
referred for an
evaluation.
