Study of an AIS – Revenue Cycle
ELERBE, Inc.
Accounting Services, Inc. has been hired as the consultant for developing ELERBE’s
on line selling applications. Karen Decker, a recent accounting graduate employed by
Accounting Services, Inc., is interested in pursuing a career in information technology
consulting. She has completed several electives in the information systems area
including an e-commerce course. Karen has been assigned to study ELERBE’s
current system for processing customer orders, shipping goods, and collecting casht.
She will interview Martin Spear, the sales manager, to gather information about
ELERBE’s business process. In her AIS and business communications course, Karen
has learned the importance of planning for interviews. Thus, she has decided to
develop a list of questions before meeting with Martin.
