2016 CONTRIBUTIONS TO ETSI
The contributions mentioned below are calculated according to the
2016 budget approved by the 66th General Assembly.
The detailed provisions for the selection of the class of contribution
may be found in Annex 2 of the Rules of Procedure.
FULL MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
The cost of the first unit of contribution amounts to:
6 000 €
(ex. for universities, public research bodies, not-for-profit user associations and Micro-Enterprises)
The cost of the subsequent units amounts to:
3 380 €
Members' and associate members' fees are calculated by class. The class is derived from the
member company's annual ECRT band (Electronics Communications Related Turnover). Each class
corresponds to a number of units of contribution. This number determines the contribution or fee
payable. It also determines the voting weight of a member in ETSI.

GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS
The class of contribution of Government organizations is determined by the gross domestic product
of their country.
3GPP PARTICIPATION
Any ETSI member that participates in 3GPP™ must pay a minimum of 3 units of contribution except
SMEs, Micro-Enterprises, users, universities, and public research bodies; these need to pay a
minimum of 2 units.
However, these minimum contribution levels need not apply where an organization with more than
one membership of ETSI makes an overall contribution that exceeds 20k€ multiplied by the number
of 3GPP memberships held by the administrations or companies.
OBSERVERS
For observers there is a flat rate of €4,000 per year.
Members and Observers joining ETSI during the second half of the year benefit from a 50 %
reduction on the above contributions.
