WHO ARE WE?
ACADEMY
MAA is a public charter school with a maximum enrollment of 400 students. MAA is housed in
Milwaukie High School so that the students have access to all of the academic, cultural, athletic
and administrative benefits of a traditional high school. The recommended curriculum of “4 Core
Years” of Science, Math, Social Science and English exceed both District and State standards.
MAA’s team of teachers guide students through all four years and integrate the Arts into core
academic instruction so that both “left” and “right” brain learners are stimulated.

"These teachers are hard core. They love
what they do. They know how to get all the
information to us no matter what ways we
learn best. They know their students by
name and go out of their way to get us the
help we need, when we need it."

STUDENT COMMENTS
"Milwaukie Academy of the Arts is the
right fit for students who are serious
about school and want to go to College. The teachers will help prepare
you for college and encourage you to
keep your grades up so you can succeed not just now, but in the future."
"I like that the teachers here communicate with each other about their
curriculum and work together as a
team. Because of the small class
sizes and team approach, they are
better able to keep tabs on students
on a more individual basis."
"Teachers at MAA give just as much effort
as students are expected to give. They love
their students unconditionally and they
never give up on us."
