Choir Update
Hello to the wonderful parents of that make the Choir program possible. The Holiday Concert and Tour
were a huge success. The students have blown me away with their work ethic and willingness to grow as
musicians and young adults.
Now on to our JAM PACKED next month!!
1. MANDATORY after school rehearsal - In order to for the appropriate preparation for
Choir Organization, the Concert Choir (7/8th Graders) have must attend one of the two
MANDATORY after school. There are two different days to take into account any time
conflicts. The second rehearsal is optional. Rehearsals will be after school from 2:303:15 in the choir room. Snacks will be provided.
o PART 1(soprano) MUST COME ON EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING DAYS
 Wednesday, January 25 or Tuesday, January 31
o PART 2 (A lot) MUST COME TO EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING DAYS
 Tuesday, January 24 or Wednesday, February 1

Date: Saturday, January 21
Drop-off Time: 4:30pm
Location: Middle School South
Departure Time: Exactly 5:15
Return Time: 10:00-10:30- Student can call you from the bus
Concert Attire: Please wear your choir shirt and a pair of jeans (you may want to
wear a long-sleeved shirt underneath it is cold in there)
g. Ticket Pick Up: If you are not riding the bus, tickets will be available for pick up at
Middle School South that Saturday at 4:30pm
h. Game Departure: If your student takes the bus to the game and would like to be
driven home by a parent, the parent will need to sign-out the student at the
game. Please email if you plan on doing this.
3. Solo and Ensemble Contest
a. For the students that have signed up for Solo and Ensemble Contest- Please
make sure your student meets with me at least two times before the
performance. The performance date is Saturday, February 18th. Students will also
have the opportunity to perform on Wednesday, February 15th at Bistro Night
from 6-8pm.
