1. Chemical change-a change in matter that produces new kinds of
matter with different properties.
2. Chemical reaction-another name for a chemical change
3. Dissolve-to mix completely by separating into particles that
cannot be seen
4. Energy-the ability to cause change
5. Heat-the flow of thermal energy from a warmer area to a cooler
area
6. Mixture-matter made up of two or more substances that are
combined physically
7. Physical change-a change in the way matter looks without
changing it into a new kind of matter
8. Product-the newly formed matter in a chemical reaction
9. Reactant-the matter that you start with in a chemical reaction
10.Solution-a mixture in which the particles of one kind of matter
are nixed evenly with the particles of other kinds of matter
11.Temperature-a measure of how hot or cold matter is
