What’s Under My Thumb?

Pull a domino out of the bag. Don’t show it to your favorite first grader! Figure
out how many dots are on the domino altogether. This is called the sum. Now
put your thumb so it covers one side of the domino and show the domino with
one side covered to your first grader. Tell your first grader what the sum is and
have them figure out what the number is under your thumb.
“ ______is the sum. What’s under my thumb?”
This game helps with subtraction and missing addends.

any additional questions.
