You will need dominoes or paper dominoes and the Domino
Dilemma board.
2.
You will need to play this game with a partner.
3.
Place all the dominoes face down.
4.
Player One’s side of the board is sums less than 6. Player Two’s side of the board is sums greater than 6. Whoever gets 12 dominoes on his/her side of the board first-wins.
5.
Flip over a domino and tell your partner how many dots are on your domino “____+_____= _____ Now figure out if the sum is less than six, greater than six or equal to six. Place it on the board where it belongs.
6.
Now it is your partners turn to flip over the domino and figure out if the sum is less than six, greater than six or equal to six.
Please encourage your child to use the math talk
