Article VII.B.2. A. Facility Use, Guidelines, and Rules Statement of Purpose Facilities in the District shall be rented in accordance with the fees, guidelines and rules set by the Board. Each building is rented with the understanding that the Utah Code (7610- 106, 1989) prohibits smoking in the school buildings and on property on which these school buildings are located. Groups using the buildings shall be held responsible to enforce this code. (For specific fees, guidelines and rules, see Administrative Memorandum No. 42.) B. Access to Facilities 1. The District does not discriminate or deny access to facilities on the basis of disability, race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, or any other class of individuals protected under federal and state law. 2. Authorization for the use of school facilities by a non-district organization does not constitute an endorsement of the organization, its philosophies, or its policies; and a denial of use does not constitute a rejection of an organization’s purposes by the District. 3. The District provides equal access to Boy Scouts of America and other designated youth groups pursuant to 20 U.S.C. 7905 and 34 C.F.R. 108. 4. The District reserves the right to preclude access to facilities to organizations or entities that fail to adhere to state or federal law, District policies, or for any other rational and lawful reason.
