What We Learned
This Week…
Math – This week we practiced dividing by one digit
divisors and estimating quotients. We also learned how to
find the mean, or average. Next week we are looking
forward to dividing larger dividends by two-digit divisors.
11/4 – 11/6
Dates to Remember
Thursday 11/14
Math Clinic 8:10 am
Reading – Since we finished Wonder, we completed a
variety of projects for the book. Some of us created songs
about the theme, others illustrated important scenes, and
some wrote journal entries about the characters.
Writing – We reviewed parts of speech this week and did
Mad Libs with a partner. We also began preparing to start
our new writing unit, persuasive essays, next week. We
already started thinking about issues we want changed.
November Birthdays
Caleb – 11/11
Jack – 11/14
Science – After reviewing pond life, we took the unit test.
Then we continued to construct our 3-dimensional models
of pond life organisms. We can’t wait to start our new
science unit next week… simple machines!
