BBC News 24, the World at One, and BBC Newsnight all ran interviews with the Vice-Chancellor over
a report about opposition to Labour’s policy regarding tuition fees.
Sky News and LBC News interviewed PhD student Emma El Badawy (IAIS) about the death of
Jordanian pilot Mu'ath Al Kassasbeh at the hands of Islamic State. Her comments were quoted in
reports by newstalk.ie, wessexfm.com 964eagle.co.uk, piratefm.co.uk, coolfm.co.uk, yahoo.com, and
six other news sites.
The Guardian reported on the research findings of Dan Stevens (Politics) investigating what
Europeans are afraid of most. Bignewsnetwork also reported the research.

We issued a press release about an interactive BBC documentary series The Story of Now exploring
some of the biggest questions facing mankind about its past, present and future, featuring Francesca
Stavrakopoulou (Theology & Religion). This was covered in the Mid Devon Star,

potential threat to Central Asia.

Cityam, medicaldaily, and medicalxpress quoted Jonathan Mill (Medical School) in articles about
research which compared male and female brain development in the womb, and found that a
process called DNA methylation causes different genes to be expressed.
