Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten at Isaac Fox. My
name is Jenn Lyons and I will be your child’s
teacher this year. I received my BA from Olivet
College in Michigan and I earned my Masters in
Curriculum and Instruction. I have also taken an
additional 60 credit hours in teaching reading
and computer technology. I am currently enrolled
in an English Language Learners Endorsement
program. My goal this year is to help each child
grow and develop to the best of his/her ability
while having FUN! When your child enters my room
each day they will be welcomed into a room full
of encouragement, guidance and endless
possibilities. They will be taught that trying
is the most important part of learning and that
sometimes you have to be unsuccessful first to
be successful later. They will learn that being
independent makes you feel like you can do
anything. We are a team. The most important
contribution you can make in your child’s
education is to be involved. This can be done in
many different ways: reading to and with your
child, discussing and questioning daily
classroom work with your child, writing to and
with your child and of course playing with your
child. I know that with your help we can all
have a very successful year of Kindergarten!
