OSD Feature applies to CE on-premise only General features In-Room Control Customers that buys Cisco TelePresence equipment often also want the ability to control several other devices from the Touch panel, and only one touch panel. Cisco has, until now, not offered an interface to do this from our touch panels. Customers had to use complete solutions, for example AMX or Crestron. This also means that a third-party touch panel must be used with our systems and have to be programmed to read all the TelePresence states, which can be a time consuming process especially when all that functionality is already in our touch panels. The In-Room Control feature provides an interface for external controllers and reduces/eliminates the need for third party touch panels. General features In-Room Control cont. In-Room Control cont. Touch 10 view Touch 10 zoomed in view In-Room Control is a new feature that allow users to control the room lights, blinds, DVD-player or whatever device that can be controlled by an external application, for example an AMX or Crestron controller. The possibilities are endless with this feature and the endpoint side setup is very simple using an online drag and drop editor. Once a control interface has been designed and exported to the codec a light bulb will display next to the selfview button. This icon can also be changed to a more general utility icon. General features In-Room Control In-Room Control Editor In-Room Control Editor Create a new user interface for in room controls General features In-Room Control How it works How it works What about programming the buttons? Where does it send the commands? When you have given the buttons a Widget ID there is really nothing more to be done on the endpoint side. The rest is up to the external application that performs the desired actions. Example: Take a look at the “Support” row in the interface. There is a phone button here and when clicked the endpoint should dial the local IT department for support. One way to see what happens when button is pressed is to access the xAPI and register a feedback event. Look at the example to the right. The user registered a feedback event with the command: xfeedback register event/ userinterface/extensions/event When the button with Widget ID “Support” is clicked, you will see the output. The button is Pressed, Released and Clicked. This is the only thing the button is doing in this scenario. xfeedback register event/userinterface/extensions/event ** end OK *e ** *e ** *e ** UserInterface Extensions Event Pressed Signal: "Support" end UserInterface Extensions Event Released Signal: "Support" end UserInterface Extensions Event Clicked Signal: "Support" end From a support perspective the button is working and acting as designed based on the feedback output. Feature applies to CE on-premise only Features specific to SX80, MX700, MX800 and MX800D PresenterTrack PresenterTrack is a new feature that actively tracks the presenter as he is walking back and forth on stage. With this feature the presenter will always be focused within the tracking area as the camera will digitally crop out and follow the person on stage. This feature is only supported with the Precision 60 camera • • Currently only used by SX80, MX700/MX800/MX800D in CE8.1.x • Supports only one person in the tracking area • Easy to enable and set up. Activated / deactivated from the Touch 10 • Can be used in combination with Briefing room mode • PresenterTrack can utilize one of the two cameras in the SpeakerTrack unit • Digital tracking within an overview image, camera is not following physically • Not available in MultiSite or Multistream calls (disables automatically) Cisco Collaboration Meering Room (CMR) Premises CSR 11.0 Conferencing Architecture Unified CM Expressw ay-C Expressw ay-E Internet Conductor TMS/XE/PE SIP SIP and API control Shared Pool of TS Resources Cisco TelePresence Server experience Transparent Name Labels Active Speaker Indicator Overflow Indicator Audio Participant Avatar Recording Indicator TelePresence Server Platforms TelePresence Server on VMWare (TRC & Specs Based) TelePresence Server on VMWare 8-core 410v on Server 1 to 10 ports at 720p 1 to 54 ports at 720p 410v on Blade Server 30vCPU Appliances 310 1 to 12 ports at 720p 1 to 24 ports at 720p per cluster 320 1 to 24 ports at 720p 1 to 48 ports at 720p per cluster 1 to 20 ports at 720p 1 to 54 ports at 720p per blade 1 to 432 ports at 720p per chassis Blade 8710 1 to 24 ports at 720p per blade 1 to 96 ports at 720p per cluster 820 1 to 60 ports at 720p per blade 1 to 120 ports at 720p per cluster Note: For simplicity, only capacity for 720p is shown.
