Information from Erika’s Followers
Barnak – They ran into some trouble with wolves, and Malatha was badly injured. The
wolves are dead, and a helpful cleric named Gakarna joined them. Other followers of
you are looking to Barnak as an interim leader while awaiting your return, but he
would like you to either acknowledge him as your second in command or pick
someone else. “There are some troublemakers, and someone needs to take charge.”
Mara – Has taken charge of finances, and is keeping good accounts, at Barnak’s request.
Based on a cost/benefit analysis, she recommends the group hire a full-time fletcher,
to supply the party and all the followers.
Nora – Brienne has asked her to continue to spy on you, but her interest in you seems less
now that you have moved outside the confines of the city. Brienne would probably
like to talk to you some time soon.
Flaria – There is good hunting in the woods, and she has supplemented the diet with
some local game
Lessa – Many of Lord Ransom’s underlings are urging him to go north and try to claim
the kingship for himself. At least publicly, he has rejected doing so.
Halmena – Rumor has it that someone in South Fork is offering the homeless a “good hot
meal and a warm place to sleep.” And those that accept are never heard from again.
Malia – Says that if you want to go to the ball (1) You will be expected to carry an
invitation, as well as a card to announce who you are; (2) You will be expected to
dance (perform/dance); (3) Armor, openly displayed weapons, and magical items are
not welcome at balls; (4) The least important people are expected to show up first,
and the important show up fashionably late.
Bettina or Belinda (who can tell?) – The king is an idiot (literally), and many of his
nobles are trying to manipulate him as they maneuver for power.
New Rumors
Barnak – Manash made some nasty comments about how Banash looks. Banash beat the
tar out of Manash. Since weapons were never drawn, he decided not to intervene, but
he has given them the graveyard shift on guard duty. Together.
Lessa – All indications are that Lord Ransom has abandoned any consideration of being
king. He seems depressed. Some speculate that Mesea dumped him.
Tarnis – One member of his clan is now studying at the temple in the Karnath’lah. She is
as opposed to slavery as Tarnis.
Nora – Brienne believes someone has infiltrated your group, but she can’t figure out who
it is, or who they work for
Na’Ra – She has seen hobgoblin tracks somewhat to the north of your area. Not a lot, but
she’s a bit worried
Malatha – There’s a group of Halfling merchants in town, only she suspects they aren’t
all merchants.
Halmena – She strongly suspects it was Milkflower who slipped the Ice Peppers into your
soup
Dragnakia – Really likes Drylgar, and apparently not afraid of him. Drylgar is acting
depressed, because he feels naked without treasure
Rumors following the Fungus/Giant battle
Barnak – Led by Raleven, they were following some hobgoblins in the area, trying to
find out what threat said hobgoblins might represent. They found them –
unfortunately, they found too many of them. Raleven skewered them as fast as he
could, but still Barnak, Nora, Flaria, Dragnalia and Dragnakia were pushed to their
limit. Fortunately, Gakarna and Na’Ra helped out, and they were able to survive.
Gloria and Malatha – were dicing (one claims for money, the other claims just for fun)
with Francine. Francine took a break and went to get a bite to eat from the kitchen.
When she didn’t return, Gloria and Malatha went looking for her. They didn’t find
her anywhere. The next day they talked to Barnak, and they organized a systematic
search. They found Francine’s body, backstabbed, in one of the cells in the dungeon
area.
New Followers – Corr and Daisy were approached and offered significant money to kill a
minor member of the Dirishill family. They were given special daggers to use during
the attack, which had markings on them which they were assured were magic sigils.
Instead, they fled south and joined up with you. Mara says they are not magical
