Reading word recognition Strategy Strategy: Review/Doubleback Appropriate Grade Level: K-12 Procedures/Steps: Review/Doubleback is a strategy that focuses on activating prior knowledge. It can be used for any subject. 1. At the beginning of every day the class reviews the new information for the week. 2. Then work that was done previously is also “doublebacked” every day. 3. Gradually move towards more difficult information.
