Current Business
I.
Web Policies
• Cal asked if everyone had a chance to review the Web policies. John Fitzsimmons provided feedback on the
wording under online photography. He asked who would be responsible to determine if a submitted photograph
has good lighting. Kyle explained that PIO and Web services are the ones who would make that decision. Kyle
suggested rewording some of the information to state that not every picture submitted will be used. Web policies
will be further discussed at the next meeting.
Quick Project/Web Site Update
I.
iTunesU
• A contract has been done with Apple. Cal will e-mail a link for a demonstration of the TMCC iTunes to members of
the committee for feedback or comments on the site. This site is not live. iTunes will prompt one to install the
program. Cal suggested that those who cannot download the program at work try to do so at home. Cal explained
that iTunes is a nice system that makes it easy to upload stuff and involves limited programming.
II. MT3 (My.TMCC.edu ver.3)
• MT3 will have a help file that will include log in information and what is available with the program.
• The projected launch date is May 16, 2009.
• Web services obtained approval to go live with Gmail. Cal explained that TMCC will be the first institution to do
this. Gmail is free and self service. We will have our own password reset and will be able to do all work internally.
Students will receive information with their new e-mail account and will be able to reset their own passwords
without having to call the help desk. However, IT is familiar with Gmail and will be able to provide assistance if
needed.
III. ASTM Elections
• Web services helped set up the ballot system for the 2009 ASTM student government elections. Students will vote
for the candidates and a new student government constitution. ASTM obtained over 1300 signatures this year to
be able to make changes to their constitution. Online voting will be available April 6-9.
IV. Crisis Site
• Kyle explained that the statement, “sites will close” was changed to “sites may close” due to feedback from
concerned individuals.
• Kyle asked members of the committee if they have obtained feedback on the site. Cal informed that people have
asked about having the site blogged. Echo obtained feedback from students stating that information is given on
the budget problem but no information is given on what students can do to help. Echo suggested adding a link to
inform students on what they can do to help.
• Kyle informed that the site will stay up until June 1, 2009. Manuel asked if an outcome to the budget crisis would
be stated on the site before taking it down.

New Business
I.
Dual Credit Pages
• Echo Marshall submitted a Web project request for Dual-Credit Pages. Echo stated that not enough information is
given about the Dual-Credit Program. The TMCC Web only states a piece of information under Admissions and
Records but there are no links to forms or enrollment steps for the program. Information about the Dual-Credit
Program needs to be clarified. The information can sit under the Admissions and Records Web site. Echo is
currently drafting the information and would like to market by fall 2009.
Other Business
I.
Gmail Skinning
• Web services is working on skinning the page, brand it with logo, etc.
II. Presidium
• This is help support for WebCollege My.TMCC. We will continue to use, although it is unknown up to what level at
this time. The existing data will be cleaned up but a lot of it will not be relevant as we will be using MT3.
III. R25
• Resource 25 is a new scheduling program that will go live April 2. Training on R25 will be provided through the
Professional Development Office. Scheduling request will continue to go through GroupWise Room Request until
training is completed. More information on this program to be announced.
IV. Repliweb
• The software allows to publish Web pages. We went live with it and moved from three to two servers that are
much faster and work better.
Questions/Comments
I.
Echo explained that registration dates, times and deadlines are difficult to find when there is no schedule in PDF
format available. She asked that a link be put in place under the TMCC Class Schedules Web site.
Meeting adjourned: 12:00 p.m.
