BOOK REFLECTION
CGW 4U1
The purpose of this book reflection is to provide the reader with an opportunity to explore
a book that they may not normally choose to read. A book reflection should spend very
little time summarizing the 'story', but should instead focus on the message and learning
experience of the book.
You will have the choice of reading ONE of the following books:
 “We are all the Same” by Jim Wooten
 “They Fight Like Soldiers, They Die Like Children” by Romeo Dallaire
 “Three Cups of Tea” by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin
You will be required to submit a reflection that will focus on the message, your reactions
and learning experiences that can be taken from this book.
You must also be able to support your reflection with research on the topic. For example,
if you choose to read “We are all the Same”, you will have to further research the
situation in South Africa in order to determine whether or not anything has changed in
regards to this topic.
Your reflection must:
o Be a properly formatted APA paper
o Title page
o In text citations
o Reference Page
o Be 3 – 4 pages in length (750 – 1000 words)
o Be formally written (intro, body and conclusion)
o You may write this in the 1st person as it is a reflection
