Romeo and Juliet Final Project 2012
1. Storyboard the play. You need to have at least two panel s for each act, therefore a
minimum of ten panels. Each panel must have a picture and narration directly from the
play, (sorry no stick people). The storyboard must be coloured and can be done on a
bristle board or each can be created on an individual page.
2. Create a comic strip for one of the acts of the play. It must have at least 8 – 10. Perhaps
visit comiclife.com or any other sites that can be used to create comics.
3. A statue of Juliet is mentioned at the end of the play. Quote the text that relates to this.
What in your opinion is the significance of the statue? Design/build it and explain you art
piece. Write why you chose to create the statue you created.
4. Choose a few lines from the play that are meaningful to you. Draw or paint a picture that
conveys the meaning of those lines. Write a written, one page, explanation of your
artwork.
5. Dramatize a scene of your choice on video. Each actor must have at least 15 lines of text
to say. Use costumes and props. Have fun. The text may not be read.
6. Select a scene with a minimum of four characters from the play. Make puppets to
represent all the characters in the scene. Puppets may be made out of brown paper bags,
construction paper, cloth, felt-tip markers, and other household items. On a poster, draw
the background that would be used for the puppet show. Write two paragraphs that
include the act and the scene numbers of the selected scene and a summary of the scene.
Present the show to the class. Put feeling and expression and vocal variety into the
presentation.
7. Develop a board game based on the story of Romeo and Juliet. Include all game pieces
and directions. The game should be enjoyable and educational. You will be expected to
demonstrate the game and show classmates how it works.
8. Create a Memory Book for Romeo and Juliet. The Memory Book must be six pages and
include diary entries, love letters, photographs, and/or other memorabilia. Be creative.
9. Create an original trailer for the “new” Romeo and Juliet movie that is coming out in
2013. Be sure to identify the major characters and themes. Your trailer must have all the
requirements expected of modern trailers.
10. Develop a project idea of your own. Think computer, website, video, sound recording,
etc. Clear the project with me, and then complete the project.
ALL PROJECTS MUST BE DONE NEATLY AND MUST SHOW EVIDENCE OF
WORK!
