Thermal Energy Transfer and Earth’s Climate
The climate of the planet Earth has been kept relatively
stable because of the dynamic and constantly changing
interaction of its spheres. In this assignment, you will be
concentrating on the roles of the atmosphere and
hydrosphere in climate control.
In this assignment you will produce a power point
presentation or a visual report that explains how the
concepts of thermal energy transfer, specifically in the
atmosphere and hydrosphere, affect the climate on Earth.
Your presentation or report will include the following items:

An explanation with illustrations of the thermal energy transfer in the oceans.
Any relevant graphs in your presentation or report.
Examples of severe or extreme weather conditions and provide an explanation
for their occurrence. Keep in mind that you should relate their occurrences to the
condition of the atmosphere and hydrosphere of a specific region on Earth.
6. Explain how severe weather conditions impact a community and how science
can be used to reduce this impact.
7. A reference page or bibliography citing all materials that you use in your
presentation or report. Remember that your reference page should be in APA
format.
8. Be sure that your presentation or report is no longer than 5 MB otherwise
you will have problems submitting your work to your teacher.
