CHW 3M1 – ANCIENT GREECE UNIT CULMINATING PROJECT
STATUE MONOLOGUE ASSIGNMENT
YOUR TASK:
For your project, you will be required to select one of the following individuals from the list provided and
write a 1-2 page (typed double space) monologue that is a mini-biography. Your biography should:

Explain your importance/significance to Greek Society
Detail some of your accomplishments and also…
Provide a creative anecdote which will give more insight into the individual you’ve
chosen.
Prior to your performance, you will be required to submit your monologue. Your report should have a)
A sheet with a picture/image of your individual chosen featured prominently on the front, b) A
brief description (1/2 page min.) of the costume and props you chose to use during your
performance, and c) The actual Monologue.
You will then perform your monologue in front of the class complete with props and an appropriate
costume. Your monologue should be memorized and should last 1-2 minutes in length. You will be
evaluated on your ability to use voice and projection and elements of drama must be utilized during
your presentation.
Presentations will be scheduled by signing up and will take approximately 1.5 periods to get through.
Once the presentations are completed, we will conclude the unit with our class Symposium.
