Grade 11 American History (CHA3U): The Road to Revolution Wanted Poster Assignment In the decade since the end of the French and Indian War in 1763, Britain had strengthened its direct control of the American colonies. A succession of new taxes, restrictions on west-ward expansion, and less colonial autonomy in government angered colonial leaders. The increased British military presence in the colonies did nothing to reduce tensions. Relations between Britain and its colonies was at an all-time low. The British viewed the American colonials as ungrateful, worthless traitors while colonists looked at the British with disdain and saw them as pompous, arrogant, money-grubbing meddlers. Your task: Create a wanted poster representing either the British Side or American Colonial Side. You poster should follow the format of a standard wanted poster and should be seeking the help of others sympathetic to your view, to aid you is hunting down and capturing one of the individuals who represent “the other side”. .
