General Licensing Information on Replacement
RMA for D90xx Encoders and D99xx DCMs
License Generation for Replacement Return Material Authorization (RMA)
When a customer receives a replacement product, he/she must perform one of the following, depending on the
device, to create a standard license:
Older Devices
If the product is one of the following older devices, such as the Cisco D9030, D9022, D9032, D9034, D9040,
D9050, or D9054 Encoder:

Contact Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to obtain a license: 1.888.949.4786.
●
Provide the engineer with the serial number of the device and a license file will be generated and sent to the
customer to load to the device.
Newer Devices
If the product is one of the newer devices, such as the Cisco D9036 Modular Encoding Platform and the Cisco
Series DCM D99xx Digital Content Manager:

Use the Cisco online SWIFT product licensing tool to retrieve a new license file online, or move a license
from one device to another replacement device.

The SWIFT tool can be accessed through the following URL:
https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/LicensingUI/Home.

If faulty unit is not accessible, contact TAC to bypass the transfer process.
