FEAST DAY REVIEW/PLANNING MEETING

On Thursday, January 6 th at 7 pm. in the

Stephenson room, there will be a meeting with

Fr. Damian regarding the July Feast day events.

BLOOD DONOR CLINIC

On Monday, January 3rd, the Knights of

Columbus (St. Anne’s Council 14749) will be sponsoring a Blood Donation Clinic at the

Kennedy Road Tabernacle on Kennedy Road. It runs from 3pm to 7:30pm, but some specific times have been reserved for St. Anne’s parishioners.

Remember to tell the clinic (or any future clinic) that you are from St. Anne’s Parish.

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE (C.W.L.)

Attention: Grade 7 and 8 students in our parish schools.

The St. Anne's CWL will be holding their

3rd annual public speaking contest on

Sunday, February 20, 2011. Participants for the competition will be chosen through contests held in their respective schools. If you are interested, please be sure and let your teachers know, so that your school will be included. We look forward to hearing some inspirational speeches!

THE EDGE NEWS

Thank you to everyone who donated toiletry items to the men and women who desperately needed these items. This was our first attempt at this project and the parishioners really helped us accomplish what we were praying would happen.

We will gather again on Friday, January 7, 2011 for the

7pm Mass in the Church. Please see their board in the lobby for more information.

FRENCH IMMERSION

Parents/Guardians are invited to attend a French

Immersion Information Meeting at St. Joachim School on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The school is located at 435 Rutherford Road North,

An elderly couple who reside in Brampton require someone to help to shovel snow. Call

MONTREAL AND QUEBEC PILGRIMAGE

Fr. Damian is planning a Pilgrimage to Montreal and Quebec from July 3-8, 2011. If you are interested in going on this pilgrimage, please speak with Fr. Damian (905) 453-1303.

This is a special Mass focusing on comforting those who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

ADVENT FOLDERS

Any Advent folders can be dropped off at the

Church office or put into the collection baskets at the weekend Masses. All funds raised will go towards the last of the Stained Glass Window series in the Church. Thank you for your generosity. 

Students aged 14-18 are invited to write a five hundred-word essay on the theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian

Unity, celebrated January 23-30, 2011. The theme for this coming year is “One in the Apostles’ Teaching, Fellowship,

Breaking of Bread and Prayer.” (cf. Acts 2:42). First prize is an iPod touch (32GB memory), second prize is an iPod nano

(16GB memory) and third to sixth prizes are a one-year subscription to The Catholic Register and other prizes.
