School council Meeting

1. Opening Prayer
- opening prayer led by Joanne Ashton-Lopes
2. Agenda & Minutes from January 2014
- agenda and minutes from last meeting were approved
3. School Administration Update – Principal’s Report (Mary McIsaac)
- School District Support – CTK received Superintendent and Ministry Representative on March 19th from
Mississauga South family of schools and from the Board Office, went well & have achieved many gains in
all areas of school improvement curriculum, school safety, technology, faith formation, etc.
- Frasier Report – “7” average level, down from last years 8.4 due to high scores the previous year
- Apple Crunch – participated on March 6th, huge success, children love it!, this helped promote nutrition
Canada-wide
- Holy Week of Watch the Lamb on Mon. Apr. 14 at 9AM, food drive for Eden Food Bank starts this week
- Spirit Days – every Friday, PJ Day this week
- Easter Mass on April 23rd at 9:15, Junior division will be hosting
- Electronic Voting – not allowed

- $800 will be for ProGrant
- 47/250 comments (19%), which included “not received”, and “not used”

- Deacon Ross will come & speak on May 2nd to JK-Grade 4 & Gr. 5 – Gr. 8 and explain
how they fund villages, ex. $75 buys a goat
- Incentives may include highest class gets to decide what School Council contribution goes
towards, but each class decides what to buy with money they raised
- BBQ - $1000 for startup costs

- $1000 for grad
