CARDINAL LEGER ENGLISH DEPARTMENT GRADE ELEVEN UNIVERISTY CURRICULUM (ENG 3UI) 2008 The study of literature is central in the English curriculum in which students deepen their understanding of human thought and experience. The literary works are drawn from many genres, historical periods, and cultures. A central goal of student writing is to promote communication skills using a range of forms and styles to suit specific purposes and audiences and to correctly apply the conventions of languagegrammar, usage, spelling, and punctuation. In the English program, students will have opportunities to analyze various aspects of media communications as well as a production project.
