Chitinase Producing Organisms-shells of dead marine animals were collected and chitin was purified by using
concentrated HCl. The growth of marine organisms on chitin agar was compared to that on pure practical grade chitin.
Efficient isolates were obtained by measuring the diameter of clearance zone formed as a result of chitinase production
by marine organisms.
