WESTLAKE CITY SCHOOLS RECOGNIZED FOR
TRANSPARENCY EFFORTS
Westlake Schools CFO/Treasurer Mark C. Pepera was recognized on Thursday,
Sept. 24, in Columbus by Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel as a leader in government
transparency.
Westlake Schools is among the initial 100 out of over 3,000 public entities to join
the state’s OhioCheckbook.com program, launched with live data today. The
project will provide the public greater access to expenditures made by state
government entities.
“Westlake Schools is pleased to be on the forefront and further its commitment
of transparency for our constituents by partnering with the Ohio Treasurer’s
office and participating in the Ohio Checkbook project,” Pepera said. “This
web-based solution is nationally unique and will allow our citizens to better
understand the prudent stewardship of their taxpayer dollars.”
