Dear Parents,
This month the students have been hard at work learning all about colours and what
happens when you mix colours together. We have also created our second class book
about colours, and we are currently finishing up our colour collages. The student have
helped us paint our canvases and sort all of the colour items they brought to school. Thank
you for your generous donations!
Students also helped complete our family tree! They helped measure, and cut the paper for
our family tree. They also helped us sponge paint the bark of our tree trunk. The family tree is
now a part of our cozy corner. Thank you for sending in your family photographs! The
children love looking at them.
This month we also started our Snuggle Up and Read Program. Each week your child will
bring home a new book to read with you. Please remember to record each time you read
the book to your child, with your child or listen to your child read it to you in the Snuggle Up
reading log (green duo tang). Students will add stickers to their reading log, each time they
read their book.
Thank you for your continued support!

Other business:
 As the weather is getting colder, please send your child to school with a hat, a scarf,
and mittens (mittens are ideal, as gloves are difficult for children to put on).
 If you have not already done so, please send in a pair of indoor shoes that can be
kept at school. As the cold weather is approaching, we will be seeing more snow
and rain. It is important that your child has a pair of shoes to change into when we
come in from outdoor play, to keep his/her feet warm and dry.
 Please ensure that your child has a change of clothes and extra pairs of socks at
school.
