UNIT 2: The Visual Elements of an image

ACTIVITY 2: Expressive qualities of the line. Shading with lines. Visual texture using lines.
Look carefully at the photograph.
1. Give volume to the image by using vertical parallel lines in a single colour.
Remember, use fine lines to create the lighter areas and thicker ones for darker
tones.
2. Colour the image using sets of parallel lines in different directions. Use colours
that are similar to those in the photograph.
