To celebrate OCSGE, we as a school community incorporate these expectations within our virtue assemblies throughout the school year. Celebrating Virtues: A virtue is a habit or established capacity to perform good actions according to a moral standard. When we practice the virtues we strengthen them and thereby make the presence of God more and more visible in the world around us. Page 4 of 6 Pastoral Plan 2015-2016 Our virtues and Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations are celebrated monthly. Each month all students from FDK to Grade 8 are placed in Houses and have the opportunity to participate in a half day Retreat focusing on faith, spiritual development, well-being and build upon the monthly virtue. Visible Signs of our Faith: Through symbol and service, we are instruments of God’s love whose work within our communities stands as a witness to our faith. Throughout the school we have visible signs of our faith: Crosses, Bibles, Prayer Tables, Prayer Spaces, Liturgical Colours for our alter, advent wreath and candles. Our display cases and front foyer demonstrate our commitment to Catholic Education and Faith.
