What Are We Learning This Week?
Math- We are learning to add two numbers. We are
Clip Offs
Congratulations to the following students for
clipping off the top of the behavior chart this
week:
learning to use pictures, our fingers, and number lines to
solve equations. We are learning to add to solve
equations.
Writing- We will be writing narratives using high
frequency words. We will learn to use a word wall as a
Kinsley, Austin, Gracie J., Lily, Virginia,
resource for writing.
Ava, Briar, Karlie, Ciara, Zechariah,
Reading- We will continue working at various levels in
Connor, Logan, Bella
Reading Mastery groups to blend sounds to read words
read stories with accuracy (saying the correct word the
first time) and fluency (making our reading sound like
we sound when we are talking- not robotic.) We will
continue reading sight words and stories.
Science- We are learning about forces and motions. I
can describe what happens to the motion of an object
when pushed or pulled (and when more force is used.) I

We will be doing a Yankee Candle
Fundraiser to raise money for our
spring field trip to the Louisville Zoo.
The fundraiser will run from February
22 through March 7. More information
with incentives, brochures, order forms,
etc. will be coming home in the next
couple of week. Thanks!
