Student Teach Abroad Scholarship Award Allocations
PURPOSE:
For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University
to allocate $2400.00 from the scholarships fund to assist students
participating in student teach abroad programs.
WHEREAS:
The Academic Affairs Committee offers a Student Teach Abroad
Scholarship that awards qualifying students up to $300.00 per term, with a
maximum of $600 for an academic year, and
WHEREAS:
The allocated funds will support students’ travel expenses or other
expenses relevant to their program, and
WHEREAS:
Hannah Denny, Chen Huang, Daniel King, Bethany Riggs, Logan
Wainscott, Paige Winders, and Alexandra Wood will each be awarded
$300.00 for their student teach abroad trip to Barcelona, Spain, and
WHEREAS:
L. Michelle Lewis will be awarded $300.00 for her student teach abroad
trip to Seoul, South Korea, and
WHEREAS:
These students have provided evidence that their student teach abroad
programs will further enrich their educational experience at Western
Kentucky University.
THEREFORE:
Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western
Kentucky University allocate the awarded funds of $2400.00 from the
scholarships fund to these qualifying Western Kentucky University
students.
