Study Abroad Scholarship Award Allocations
PURPOSE:
For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University
to allocate $900.00 from the scholarships fund to assist students
participating in study abroad programs.
WHEREAS:
The Academic Affairs Committee offers a Study Abroad Scholarship that
awards qualifying students up to $300.00 per term, with a maximum of
$600 for an academic year, and
WHEREAS:
The allocated funds will support students’ tuition fees, travel expenses, or
other expenses relevant to their program, and
WHEREAS:
Lauren Bretz and Justin Pile will each be awarded $300.00 for their study
abroad trip Kasigau, Kenya during the Winter of 2012 and
WHEREAS:
Anna Beth Gillon and Kristi Witemyre will each be awarded $150.00 for
their study abroad trip to Harlaxton, Grantham, England in the Spring of
2012, and
WHEREAS:
These students have provided evidence that their study abroad programs
will further enrich their educational experience at Western Kentucky
University.
THEREFORE:
Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western
Kentucky University allocate the awarded funds of $900.00 from the
scholarships fund to these qualifying Western Kentucky University
students.
