COURSE OUTLINE Department: Technological Studies Course: TXJ4E1 Course Code: Hairstyling and Aesthetics Course Description: This course builds on the Grade 11 course to provide a solid foundation for students wishing to pursue a career in cosmetology. Students will continue to develop practical skills and knowledge pertaining to the beauty industry. They will also gain an awareness of the entrepreneurial skills required to own and operate a salon. The course may focus on either hairstyling or aesthetics, or may include a combination of both areas.. This course helps students to meet the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations by developing one's God-given potential and makes a meaningful contribution to society and by exercising Christian leadership in the achievement of individual and group goals.
