Course Code: Hairstyling and Aesthetics
Course Description:
This course presents hairstyling, make-up, and nail care techniques from a salon/spa perspective. Using materials,
processes, and techniques used in the industry, students learn fundamental skills in hairstyling, giving manicures and
facials, and providing hair/scalp analyses and treatments. Students will also consider related environmental and
societal issues, and will explore secondary and postsecondary pathways leading to careers in the field of hairstyling
and aesthetics. This course helps students to meet the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations by developing
one's God-given potential and makes a meaningful contribution to society and by exercising Christian leadership in the
achievement of individual and group goals.
