Timed Test Schedule
We will be having timed test in math this year to improve your child’s ability to quickly and accurately solve basic math problems. We will start with addition and move on to multiplication later in the year. Your child will need to earn a 75% or higher in order to pass these tests. They will be given one minute to complete the test and we will grade them immediately to provide quick feedback. This is NOT meant to stress your child out about math however, it is very important that each child know their basic math facts. Please, be sure to review these facts with your child at home. If your child does not pass the test we are on, we will move onto the next test and they will go back and review the facts they missed in February. Below is the schedule for the timed tests:
September 30 th : Doubles (6+6, 5+5)
October 7 th : Doubles+1 (6+7, 5+6)
October 14 th : 10s and 9s addition facts
October 21 st : 1s and 2s addition facts
October 28 th : 3s and 4s addition facts
November 4 th : 5s and 6s addition facts
November 11 th : 7s and 8s addition facts
November 18 th : 10s multiplication facts
December 2 nd : 5s multiplication facts
December 9 th : 2s multiplication facts
December 16 th : 4s multiplication facts
January 13 th : 8s multiplication facts
January 20 th : 3s multiplication facts
January 27 th : 6s multiplication facts
February 3 rd : 9s multiplication facts
February 10 th : 7s multiplication facts
February 17 th : 11s multiplication facts
February 24 th : 12s multiplication facts
