So, what do you do,
Ms. Fischer, when my
child
makes poor choices
or
has unacceptable
behavior ?
Focus on the Positive!
• Redirect student with body language such a looking student in the
eye, moving closer to the child, saying child’s name, giving a
redirect of what the work expectation is.
• Talk privately to the student, “I see you are having trouble
staying focused. Is there some way I can help you get back on
track?”
• Give a consequence warning.
• Chronic behavior or effort problems, I will contact you and ask
you to come in for a conference.
Thank you for your
support!
• Please feel free to contact me. Please just email me
and ask me to call you if you would like to speak with me.
• I prefer to talk and not email on important matters as
communication can easily be misunderstood.
•I’m looking forward to a wonderful year of third
grade learning with your children!
