When weather conditions are severe, we may reduce the outdoor playtime, or have indoor recess entirely. Fresh air and exercise are vital components for successful learning, so we will endeavour to have children play outside whenever possible. Help your children come to school appropriately dressed with scarves, hats and mittens on those really chilly days! For health and safety reasons and to help keep the school safe and clean, we ask all students to have indoor shoes. Thank you for your support in this matter. Part of our outreach campaign includes going beyond the school community and reaching out to those in other parts of the world who need our help. Dr. Simone, Canadian Food For Children, are collecting the following items for those in need. Please feel free to drop off any donation in the boxes provided under the mitten tree in our front foyer. We thank you for helping us, help those in need. Our Annual Mitten and Hat Tree will be displayed in our front foyer on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Hats, mittens and scarf donations greatly appreciated. The purpose is to help students in our school who need these items throughout the winter season. Cost: One food item for our Advent Food Drive (Containers will be available to drop off the items. We thank you for your support) This year we will once again be helping St Vincent dePaul with our food collection. Dress warm as we celebrate in a truly Canadian fashion. We will celebrate the Nativity Story through dramatization and song. We will also sing a few Christmas Carols to get us all in the Christmas spirit.
