Language Arts PLC

Beth Davidson, Alicia Judd, Courtney Benefield
Today’s Agenda:
 Beth Davidson will be leading today’s PLC. Main emphasis will
focus on how to use technology for higher level thinking in the
classroom. Each teacher was asked to bring some type of
technology to the PLC so we actively participate.
 8 Engaging Qualities of Work - This discussion teaches high yield
instructional strategies and big idea thinking. This is crucial to our
classrooms so that deeper thinking and stronger processing
occurs for our students.
 Also discussed was the powerful task rubric for designing student
work. This was specifically broken down into engaging
qualities/academic strategies/cognitive demand.
