Subject: Clincard
Effective as of XXXXX, Jefferson will move to a new form of payment for research participants. It’s called
Clincard, and it works like a debit card. If you are currently enrolled in a research study, and the study
provides payments to you, you will be given a Clincard. Every payment you receive for your study
participation as of XXXXX will be credited to your Clincard account. You can then use your Clincard to
access your payment funds from various locations, including some ATMs. Please be aware that local
ATM charges will apply.
You also can make purchases with your Clincard as you would with a normal debit card.
Please read the Frequently Asked Questions sheet you are given to learn more about how to use the
Clincard.
If you feel that you will not be able to use the Clincard, please discuss with study staff.
We hope that the new Clincard system will allow Jefferson research participants quick and easy access
to their research payments.
