CFSL INTERNS
• A fellow Cougar herself, Christy is the new
Marketing Intern for the University of
Houston's Center for Fraternity & Sorority
Life. As a member of the UH
fraternity/sorority community, Christy is
currently Vice President Internal for alpha
Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc. under the
Multicultural Greek Council. As an
upcoming junior studying Public Relations,
she will be assisting and continuing the
implementation of a cohesive marketing plan
for fraternity and sorority programs aimed
towards UH students. She will be working to
develop innovative plans and create fresh
ideas to raise publicity and to promote CFSL
which supports student success within our
40+ chapters and 5 governing councils.

CFSL INTERNS
• Kevin serves as the Program Intern
at the Center for Fraternity and
Sorority Life. Although he was born
and raised in California, Kevin came
to Texas and joined the University of
Houston in August 2014 to continue
his education to pursue a Bachelor of
Science in Hotel and Restaurant
Management with a minor in Wine
and Spirits. Throughout his time in
Texas, he has lead numerous
programming planning committees
in Student Government as well as
extra-curricular social and academic
organizations. In his leisure time,
Kevin enjoys soccer, playing video
games, and exploring the cultures of
the world.

WHAT IS FSPB?
• The Fraternity/Sorority Program Board is a new
organization under the CFSL office that will be
responsible for creating positive, constructive programs
while facilitating an environment of personal,
educational, and professional growth of all members.
• The board is comprised of eight executive board
members: Executive Director, Director of Administration
and Finance, Director of Philanthropy and Community
Service, Director of Programming, Director of Education
and Leadership, Director of Marketing, Director of
University Engagement, and Director of Alumni
Relations.

CFSL BASELINE EXPECTATIONS
• Uphold both university policy, student code of conduct, and
state and federal laws
• Fully register as a student organization
• Accurately report all active and new members in the
appropriate timeframe
• Full participation in the Fraternal Excellence Program (All
narratives and interviews)
• A minimum once per semester meeting with your ‘Chapter
Coach’ – Once per month preferred
• Participation in the Fraternity/Sorority Presidents
Leadership Summit and other mandatory programming

• The Fraternal Excellence Program is an effort by the
University of Houston Fraternity and Sorority
Community to integrate the core principles of
fraternity/sorority membership into our campusā€based
awards and assessment program.

• Ignite Level II is open to students who are comfortable with
the basics including time and stress management, personal
goad setting, conflict management and personal values. Level
II is a cohort based program that meets as a large group every
other week and in smaller themed cohorts on alternate weeks,
allowing students to specialize their experience.

• Designed for new and upcoming fraternity/sorority leaders,
Fraternal Leadership explores the nuances of leading others within
the context of a Greek organization. Participants will explore team
development, values-based decision making, relationship building,
and social issues through the lens of the fraternity/sorority
experience.

• In order to pledge/join/hold officer position/remain
active, you MUST be a fully enrolled student at this
campus
• If you operate an ‘Intake’ process, members must be
initiated and presented within the SAME semester
• ‘Interest Groups’ = Pre-pledge/associate members
• If they are formally tied to your organization in some way, they
need to be reported
