CONGRATULATIONS! You have been selected to be a company member (CAST or CREW) of the 2016 NPHS
Theatre spring musical. However, there are responsibilities which must be met when you join our theatre program.
Remember, participation in a NPHS Theatre activity is a privilege and responsibilities must be met for continued
play participation and/or participation in future productions. A signed contract detailing participation
responsibilities is required.
If you agree to uphold your play responsibilities, both the student and a parent/guardian must read, discuss,
and sign this joint contract and return it to Mrs. Roney/F41/RED BOX BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2016.
An Additional mandatory parent/guardian and student meeting will be held: TBA

IF ANY PART OF THE CONTRACT IS NOT FULFILLED, MRS. RONEY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO
THE FOLLOWING:
1. Student may not audition/crew for future NPHS Theatre/Thespian productions.
2. Recommendations and references for colleges, employment, etc. may not be written.
3. Eligibility for Senior Awards may be forfeited.

_____I will meet the NPHS ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY POLICY.
Failure to do so will result in the student being removed from the production.
_____I will abide by the NPHS DISCIPLINARY CODE.
Students are representatives of NP Theatre twenty-four hours a day. Any student who is found to be in violation of
this code of conduct in school and/or in the community will be suspended from participation in any NPHS
Theatre/Thespian activity. Participation and/or use of, conspiracy to use or buy, or transportation of controlled
substances or alcoholic beverages at any time or attendance at a drug or alcohol party can subject students to the
aforementioned disciplinary consequences. This applies at any time and will apply whether such use is on or off
school grounds. A more severe penalty may be applied at the discretion of the theatre staff in consultation with and
approved by a school administrator. Students found in violation of this code of conduct may also be asked to meet
with a drug and alcohol counselor prior to resuming the activity. All members of North Penn HS Theatre are subject
to school and district discipline policies when infractions occur during the actual event, including going to and from
the event.
_____I will attend all rehearsals and/or crews, unless given prior permission by a Director/Theatre Staff member.
Tardiness, missing rehearsals/crews, poor rehearsal/crew behavior may be reasons for dismissal. I understand that I
must be in school by 11:00 AM on day of rehearsals/performances (or Friday for Saturday rehearsals/performances) in
order to participate in the scheduled event.
Once a student has missed three rehearsals/crews, excused or not, disciplinary action may be taken, which could
include being re-cast in a smaller role or being cut from the production.
E-mails will be sent regularly to keep everyone up-to-date on the production. Please check your listed e-mail on a regular basis. Current and
accurate e-mail addresses for adult contacts and students are very important !

_____I will return all play materials/fees, including, but not limited to activity fees, strike fees, scripts, orchestra parts,
and production materials, etc. on time. All due dates are posted, printed and reminded!
LATE/LOST/DESTROYED SCRIPT = A FEE!!
_____I will work no less than the minimum construction crew and production strike crew assignments as deemed
necessary by the Director for each production.
_____ I agree to be a positive influence and to do my best for the production. Good academics, a proper attitude,
cooperation, team play, and the meeting of all responsibilities and deadlines are vital to the production.
