Creating a Twitter Feed
William Shakespeare demonstrates his expertise in
characterization in King Lear. For this assignment, you are expected
to demonstrate an understanding of a chosen character in a creative way using a
very modern media form.
You are to create a Twitter feed for a major character in King Lear. You must
have three different tweets, one from each act of the play. Please consider what the
character is thinking and feeling during each act, as the Tweet should reflect what
they are experiencing. Here’s the challenge: each tweet must be under 140
characters in length, as this is the requirement of the medium.
Please ensure that the layout of your Twitter page is appropriate to the
assignment and character. Your expression of the character should be included in
the visual details of the Twitter profile – think of creative ways to personalize your
page, but be true to the media form of Twitter.
