A Numeracy Night was held to engage parents and guardians in the learning process of mathematics. In addition, staff engaged in many activities during divisional and staff meetings to develop their understanding of the power of a growth mindset. Within each classroom, through the use of media and grade appropriate activities, students began to comprehend the power of a growth mindset that their talents and abilities can be developed through effort, dedication and persistence. With the tablet and PED (Personal Electronic Device) pilot projects, teachers are embracing technology in the classroom and moving towards a more digital classroom setup to enhance student learning and engagement through a 21st Century learning environment.
