He has written a book called, A New American Family, a love story, in which he details “nontraditional” family with his wife Pat as they adopted six children in the 1960’s all of different ethnicities creating an interracial family. As a couple they have been married for over fifty-five years and have endured many highs and lows over the years, including being tested by racial prejudice.
