Description
TechnicalAssociateswillparticipateinfoursix-monthrotationsthroughvariousareaswithinKaiser
Permanente'sITorganization,developingandapplyingnewskillsastheyprogressthroughtheirtwo
yearsintheprogram.EachtechnicalassociatewillworkwiththeProgramManagertocreatean
individualizeddevelopmentplanwhichwillhelpthemexploreabroadrangeofinterestsandpotential
careerpaths.
Theoverallgoaloftheprogramistoofferauniquelearningandcareerdevelopmentopportunityto
individualsjustbeginningtheircareers,andwhoareinterestedinhoningtheirtechnicalskillsina
supportive,collaborativeenvironmentwithinoneofthenation'sleadinghealthcareproviders.Each
rotationwillallowassociatestoexplorenewpossiblecareerpathsandbepreparedforawiderangeof
challengingpositionsinIT.Rotationsmayinclude(butarenotlimitedto):DataScience+Analytics,
EnterpriseandBusinessArchitecture,Product&ApplicationSupport,InfrastructureManagement,
PlatformTechnologies,Compliance+RiskManagement,etc.
EssentialFunctions:
•Engageasamemberofatechnicalteamtohelpsolveproblemsunderthedirectguidanceofa
supervisorand/orpeers.
•Conductsresearchandanalysisandassistwithpreparingvariousreportstoreportoncurrentprojects.
•Learningnewapplications,toolsandtechnicalskillsneededtocompleteassignedwork.
•Participateinregularcohortmeetingswithfellowtechnicalassociates,andserveasanactivemember
oftheprogramcommunity.
•Performsadditionaljobdutiesasrequired.
Qualifications
BasicQualifications:
Education
•Bachelor'sdegreeincomputerscience,informationsystems,computerengineering,orrelatedfield.
AdditionalRequirements:
•AbilitytoworkfromdifferentKaiserPermanenteofficelocations(withinasinglegeographicarea)
dependingonwhereeachrotationislocated(e.g.Pleasanton,WalnutCreek,Oakland)
•Abilitytoquicklyadapttonewprojectsandassignments.
•Stronganalyticalskillset.
•Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
•LeadershipPotentialasdemonstratedbyon-campusand/orcommunityinvolvement.
•WorkingknowledgeofMSWord,Excel,PowerPoint.
PreferredQualifications:
•Experienceinavarietyoftechnicaldisciplines,suchasdatamanagementoradministration,software
development,programminginseveralcomputerlanguages,etc.
