Week of : February 9th
Math: In math we are coming to the end of Chapter 7. We will
be having a Unit 4 Test on Thursday, February 12th. This unit
test is made up of Chapter 6 and 7 materials. The main focus is
on division. Keep practicing math facts each night.

Language Arts: Our story for the week is called Why Mosquitoes
Buzz in People’s Ears. This story as well as last week’s also has
lots of fun onomatopoeia. We have brainstormed many
different sounds we hear to help us in our writing. We will also
continue to use and identify adjectives.
In writing we are working on comparing and
contrasting. We are starting with discussing how things are the
same and using words such as both, alike, and the same to
describe them. We will start working on contrasting two things
this week as well.

Social Studies- We have just begun the third Social Studies
Chapter. This chapter focuses on community and government
leaders. We will also learn about the branches of the
government.
