Carlisle County High School SBDM Policy Staff Assignment Policy School staff, for the purpose of determining the number of personnel by job classification, shall mean all staff assigned to Carlisle County High School. By the June SBDM meeting of each year, the principal shall prepare a school staff assignment plan for the following year, and shall present the plan to the school council for consultation on the plan. A follow up plan that reflects amendments to the original plan shall be prepared by the principal and submitted to the school council for consultation by the August SBDM meeting. All vacant positions, whether existing or new, shall be posted on the bulletin board in the faculty lounge within one work week of the vacancy being declared so that current teachers shall be informed of this circumstance. Teachers shall have one work week from the date of the posting in the faculty lounge to inform the principal, in writing, of their request to be considered for reassignment to the vacant position. The reassignment of current staff is at the discretion of the principal. Adopted: January 24, 2003
